REVIEW: The Opposite of Loneliness by Marina Keegan

A perfect summary of an incredibly moving book – a must read.

I first heard about The Opposite of Loneliness by Marina Keegan the night of it’s UK launch when Girl Lost in the City blogger, Emma Gannon, tweeted about how the book was one of the best things she’d read all year.

I was intrigued. Emma is clearly a lover of books, and has no doubt read many, many books this year, meaning  this book must really be special.

Emma quickly put up a blog post that evening about the book launch, about Marina’s incredible talent with words and about how Marina, a Yale Graduate, award winning author, poet, journalist and playwright born in the same year as me, had died in a car crash in 2012.

By the end of Emma’s post, I was desperate to read The Opposite of Loneliness. Desperate with an intensity I’m not sure I’ve ever felt towards a book before.
